WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
John will talk about protective clothing for the operator and others working on a team and, if weather permits, demonstrations of sawing and felling techniques will take place outdoors in our Nursery Yard. If weather prevents this, some of the techniques will be shown indoors.
INSTRUCTOR:
John DelRosso, Head Arborist at Arnold Arboretum. The workshop is intensive, emphasizing chainsaw operation, maintenance and safety. John is passionate about correct safety habits for operators. He’ll dismantle a chainsaw and discuss proper cleaning and care. If you’re in the market to buy, you’ll be guided toward the best to purchase for your needs.
You must either bring eye and ear protective gear or you may purchase them at our contractor center before the class begins.
