As President of Outdoor Pride, a commercial landscape and snow management company since 1988 with offices in MA and NH, Mark believes it is his job to maintain a high-performing team that's dedicated to the success of the company and to each individual's success. The company adamantly adheres to its mission of quality service to its clients, its employees and the protection of the environment. Outdoor Pride has a staff of 70 year round employees and during the winter months that number may climb as high as 350. Mark's responsibilities include keeping up with new innovations within the snow removal industry. He accomplishes that through continuing education with SIMA, Peer Groups and ASCA. And he makes certain that the team members are all up to date in the latest technological advances for snow removal. Their safety and the safety of those around them are always top priority for Mark and his company.

Rick Kier has been operating his grounds maintenance company in Syracuse, NY since 1978. And since snow in that area has a major environmental impact on the lives of all its citizens and businesses, Rick recognized a great opportunity and in 1986 he began expanding the snow removal side of his business. During the snow months, his company employs 170 crew members and oversees dozens of subcontracted snowplow drivers. Rick was a founding member of SIMA, served on the board of directors for ten years and was honored with SIMA's Lifetime Achievement Award for his involvement and dedication in the snow and ice management industry. He is now president of Forge Ahead Consulting & Software, LLC. Rick has written many articles for Snow Business Magazine and other publications and has provided mentoring for newer snow and ice contractors across the US and Canada.

Assistant Vice President | Starkweather & Shepley, Construction Risk Solutions

Rob is an Assistant Vice President and leader of the Construction Practices Group in Massachusetts for the Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage. He focuses exclusively on serving risk management needs of general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors and particularly those involved in site & utility, excavation, paving and heavy civil work. Rob has successfully obtained designations as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Accredited Adviser of Insurance (AAI) Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS). Rob is also a contributing writer to SIMA's magazine, "Snow Business".
